Agua Dulce Ribbon Cutting
It was a breezy day at the beautiful setting laid out by developer Mario Gonzalez at his new
single family housing development, Agua Dulce. Located just a street
west of the Desert Hot Springs Post Office, on Two Bunch Palms Trail, the gated community is just one more feather in the constantly enlarging hat worn by Desert Hot
Springs.
Even with the breezy conditions, the local and valley visitors turned out to tour the gorgeous dwellings.
The DHS Chamber of Commerce was on hand as usual, with a bright new ribbon for the new housing project. President Lane Sarasohn and CEO Carole Farm were pleased with
the attendance of the Chamber volunteers who braved the wind to be there.

Ambassador founder and all-around valley activist, Richard Luke, was so anxious to be in the activities that he crawled through the fence between the office and the
houses.
Agua Dulce is a GHA Development and is now selling at the location on Two Bunch Palms Trail. Just follow the many flags.

Hollywood Getaway B-Bar-H
Ranch Goes Modern
B-bar-H Ranch, a piece of the
old West just outside Palm Springs, retains a
charm that o nce
drew the biggest movie stars of the day. In
juxtaposition to the old 1920s Spanish style
haciendas long in existence there, the company
Modern Living Spaces is constructing newly
designed modern homes.
Celebrities of
the 1920s and 1930s mingled in Palm Springs
and also a short distance out of town at the
B-Bar-H Ranch. In the wide open spaces of the
desert guests spent time horseback riding,
playing tennis, swimming or just relaxing.
Mary Pickford, Bing Crosby, the Marx Brothers
Tyrone Power, Lionel Barrymore, Peter Lorre,
Marlene Dietrich, Joan Crawford and Gary Cooper
were a few of the guests who frequented the
ranch.
The Unique new
homes at B-Bar-H offer form and function --
airy rooms that look out over the same ranch
land that made the Palm Springs area famous as
a destination for the stars. The homes are the
vision of developer Mark Bodon, and the team at
Modern Living Spaces. Their passion for
mid-century style architecture and desert
inside-outside living have made it possible for
the entry level buyer to own a house with
interesting architectural features. The homes
concepts are based on the styles that have made
Palm Springs an Architectural Disneyland.
Raw materials inside and out
concrete, metal, glass and granite make up
much of the homes construction from polished
concrete floors to sturdy aluminum fences and
views from spacious windows.
B-Bar-H Ranch
is convenient to city amenities, but still
secluded from the traffic and noise of the
modern city. It is an historic trip into the
past for those who will settle into a new home
at the Ranch. For more information contact Mark
Bodon at (760) 408-9426. For sales information

Desert Hot
Springs gets serious about Dust & Developers!
In a city that thinks of itself
as developer-friendly, it seems the city has now
started to believe some of the developers are
taking advantage of that friendship.
Now the City has taken a harder
stance on those who would violate the ordinance
which says construction crews will keep ground
sand wetted down and will install fences around
all four sides of a site being developed.

Developers not in complience will
be red tagged with no warning if it is
determined they are violating the ordinance.
On the first violation, the complete project can
be halted and remain closed until the violation
is satisfied with the project complying with the
order. Enforcement officers are on duty. This
new attitude by the City and City Council has
come about due to the outspoken citizens of
Desert Hot Springs, who were outraged by the
recent sand storms that occurred in
mid-November.
John Soulliere, Interim City Manager said the
city council asked about the legality of fining
first-time offenders.
The answer from staff apparently came back
saying that the City could fine repeat offenders
as much as $10,000 a day until the offense is
brought into compliance.
First offenders would merely be made to correct
the problem and bring it into compliance with
the ordinance.
Repeat offenders could conceivable be shut down
by the City indefinitely and could have their
building permit revoked.

Alpine
Developers Hold Ribbon Cutting at Eagle Point Project
 Eagle
Point was the location of a successful Desert Hot Springs Ribbon Cutting on Friday, December 3, 2005. A cool, crisp

group was treated to a beautifully catered array of foods by the hosts, Alpine Builders and staff. A delicious layout of choicest cheeses, pastries and fruits were enjoyed by the
many who came out to observe the magnificent new home models on display at the mid-town location on west Pierson at Golden Eagle Drive.
